To make his future home in the Gilbert Islands, which now claim a population of more than 45,000 people, Captain William J. Weisbarth, in a little two-masted schooner. is expecting to get away for the South Seas this afternoon. In addition to Mrs. Weisbarth, wife of the veteran mariner, two native women and three men from the Gilberts who have made their homes in Hawaii for several years, will become; members of the party who today sail, on a voyage of 2500 miles and requiring at least a month to complete.

"I am entitled to take it easy for the remainder of my days," stated Captain Weisbarth before sailing. "If I remain in Honolulu I will drop dead In harness. The island upon which I have decided to settle is about 40 miles in length by one mile in width and supports a population of 7000 people. The schooner is amply provisioned, for an extended cruise. A call will, be made at Palmyra islands.
