Photo Collection: Marine Scout Bombing Squadron (VMSB) 133
Description
Marine Scout Bombing Squadron's were bomber groups who flew strafing missions all over the Pacific, and were responsible for some of the most daring bomber raids in the the war. This collection of photos comes from 1943, when the the VMSB was stationed on Palmyra, before heading on to missions further in the Pacific.
These were likely taken in September of 1943, which is the documented time of their arrival on Palmyra. They were obtained through a reseller who was given a photo album belonging to Sgt Kee. The archive thanks the reseller for providing scans of these images, and we hope to add the originals to our collection as well.
