Title

Postcard from USMC Sergeant Elwin E. Maylone

Description

This postcard continues a conversation between USMC Sgt. Elwin E. Maylone and Sacramento, California resident Mr. Chas. M. Borba.

This would have been sent prior to main construction phase on Palmyra being finished, so Sgt. Maylone likely lived and worked in the more primitive facilities and conditions of Palmyra's occupation.

Dear Comrade Borba,

I received your two nice letters and admit I am slow answering. I never expected the dues to be paid up till it's over. That is pretty swell. I don’t know of anyone else from Sacramento but wish I did. I know the other two very well. I guess it does keep you plenty busy answering all letters. Did you have your boat out a while back? I heard there was plenty of water around there.

Hello to Sam Thompson whom I’ve known since I could talk, and the rest of the members.
